Booking is open until 6 Nov 2026, about 10 weeks before the first exam day. The reasonable adjustments deadline for this diet has passed; if you need adjustments, contact the RCGP or consider a later diet. Always confirm on the RCGP website before you book or pay.

Dates are from the RCGP's exam dates and booking page and reasonable adjustments page, as shown on our SCA dates and fees page. The RCGP notes that dates can change. Each diet runs over several exam days and you are given a date within it. Staged payments apply to bookings: a deposit, a second payment and the balance by the final booking deadline. Payments are not taken automatically, so diarise each one; the exact timings: check RCGP.

What to do now, by weeks remaining

Find the row that matches the time you have left and start there. This is our suggested plan, not RCGP guidance.

  1. 12 weeks or more. Book before 6 Nov 2026 and diarise each staged payment. If you need adjustments, apply by the RCGP deadline. Read how the SCA is marked and do five free cases to find your baseline.
  2. 8 to 12 weeks. Build a routine: two or three timed cases most days, marked against the three domains. Start a study group. Use the SCA Guide 12-week plan if you want a structure.
  3. 4 to 8 weeks. Widen your range: telephone cases, third parties, results, prescribing requests and challenging conversations. Sit your first full mock exam and note which domain slips across several cases.
  4. 2 to 4 weeks. Second mock exam. Fix two habits, not ten. Practise opening, explaining and safety-netting until they sound like you, not a script. Check your room, camera, microphone and internet against the RCGP's examination day guide.
  5. Final week. Keep cases light: a few a day to stay warm. Sleep, plan the day, and have your ID and setup ready. Re-read the RCGP day guide.
  6. Results day. Results are published at 17:00 on 16 Feb 2027. Read the feedback statements alongside the RCGP's feedback statements page. If you need to resit, read SCA resit advice before choosing a new date.
