Written to the Skills for Health Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF) learning outcomes for Safeguarding Children (Version 3), Level 3. CSTF alignment has not yet been granted, so this is a certificate of completion for your records and appraisal: check what your employer or agency accepts. Refresher: Every 3 years (CSTF England v1.1). The RCGP safeguarding standards for general practice (October 2024) ask for an annual Level 3 update and annual reflection covering adults and children, and no longer count hours; the intercollegiate document (2025 edition) sets no hours. Many employers and agencies still use the older RCGP figures: for GPs, at least 12 hours of child Level 3 over 3 years (16 in the first year of a Level 3 post), at least 50% participatory. This course provides about 3 hours of the non-participatory part.
