Learning Disability and Autism in General Practice
Supplementary CPD for GPs on learning disability and autism. It does not replace the official Oliver McGowan training (Tier 2 for GPs), which every GP must complete.
Not a CSTF subject: the Health and Care Act 2022 (s181) training requirement and the Oliver McGowan code of practice (2025). This supplementary CPD does not meet that requirement; it is mapped to the Core Capabilities Frameworks for supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people (2019). This is a certificate of completion for your records and appraisal: check what your employer or agency accepts. Refresher: The official Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training must be repeated at least every 3 years, or sooner if a role changes (code of practice, 2025). Repeat this supplementary course with it.
