Written to the Skills for Health Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF) learning outcomes for Moving and Handling, Level 1 (all staff), plus the Level 2 (patient handling) core learning outcomes as knowledge. Level 2 practical skills and equipment use are not covered and must be assessed in person.. CSTF alignment has not yet been granted, so this is a certificate of completion for your records and appraisal: check what your employer or agency accepts. Refresher: CSTF England v1.1: Level 1 core outcomes are portable and repeated only if legislation or local risk changes, with practical load-handling training every 3 years for load-handling staff; Level 2 core and context-specific outcomes every 2 years, including practical training in person. Refresh sooner if local risk assessment, equipment or practice changes.
