Not a CSTF subject: the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and its Code of Practice (s42 duty to have regard to the Code). CSTF (England) v1.1 has no standalone MCA subject and covers capacity within Safeguarding Adults (Level 2 outcomes b and h, Level 3 outcome f). This is a certificate of completion for your records and appraisal: check what your employer or agency accepts. Refresher: No CSTF interval for MCA as a standalone subject. Refresh with Safeguarding Adults every 3 years (CSTF England v1.1), and sooner when the law changes, as it did with the Supreme Court judgment of June 2026.
