Written to the Skills for Health Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF) learning outcomes for Fire Safety (one level, all staff). CSTF alignment has not yet been granted, so this is a certificate of completion for your records and appraisal: check what your employer or agency accepts. Refresher: No fixed national interval (CSTF England v1.1): site-specific fire induction on starting at each workplace, then regular updates at a frequency set by the employer's training needs analysis, with assessment of competence every 2 years. Staff who may help evacuate others, such as clinicians with patients, should train more often; many employers and agencies require yearly fire training. E-learning supports the knowledge outcomes but is not acceptable as the only fire training: practical sessions and fire drills are also needed.
